OPERATIONAL MODEL

Operational model under this proposal would be business profit maximization and cascade the positive impact to all primary and secondary beneficiaries. The projects will involve farmers, transporters, and deliveries, agricultural extensionists, storages, manufacturing mechanisms, distributions, involvement and engaging the government and other related national and international regulators including International Finance Cooperation Performance Standards.

CURRENT OPERATIONAL MODEL

The current operational model is still in a parochial phase as we are still in a testing stage. However, the mode is showing promising results. We go directly and purchase raw materials from agricultural vendors mainly in Dar es Salaam, Iringa, Kilimanjaro, Mwanza and Kagera Regions. The raw materials are delivered in our storage sites from where all preparation including washing and drying the raw materials like sorghum, nutritious maize, millet, chia seeds. After washing the raw materials are dried on natural sunlight. Afterwards, the raw materials are transported to the grinding machines with extra hygienic mechanisms. After the grinding materials, then, under nutritious personnel the mixing of ingredients is undertaken depending on the people’s age sets, children, youths and elders/old people. The mixture determines which ingredients and at what amount should be in the mixture. The packaging containers are also purchased differently (Packaging photos are shownbelow).
After packaging, the products is ready to be distributed to needy people. Previously samples were distributed into different regions and the product users are reverting with positive results; with these positive feedbacks are keeping us to remain motivated and inspired to expand the business.

The product Preparational stages from raw material purchase to the finished products ready for marketing and delivering.

Intended operational model

The intended operational model is shown below. We would reach the farmers on the sites to assess their farming methodologies. The agricultural extensionists will be engaged to participate in this operational model. The farmers will undergo various training so that to know the farming mechanisms including quality harvesting, drying and packing. They would also be trained on environmental upkeep and conservation.
Afterwards, the farm raw materials will be transported to the manufacturing sites to add value to the product. After adhering to all requirements, then the product would be transported to the consumers with the stipulated guidance.
